On Tuesday, January 19th at 8:33am, Trish, Joan (Trish's Mom) and I watched on as our expert team of doctors and nurses from Swedish Hospital here in Seattle delivered our 7 pound 2 ounce bundle of joy! She measured 18 inches long and was born covered head to toe in natural moisturizer... just like her mommy.
Mommy and baby are doing excellent. Compared to our experience with Jack, this has been a walk in the park... and things went pretty well with Jack! Trish was drinking lattes and putting on Juicy sweats the day after her surgery.
Lucy barely squeaks out when she's hungry... and boy is she ever hungry!
Jack has been taking the transition pretty well, all things considered. Since Mommy can't pick Jack up due to the surgery, Jack has had to find alternate means of transport around the house. Thankfully, YaYa and Grandpa (Trish's parents) taught Jack to walk across the kitchen with the help of some M&M bribery. Why didn't we think of that earlier?

Start of Day 2! Everyone is doing great.
Proud Daddy.Thanks to everyone that has called, texted, emailed or visited. Very special thanks to Trish's parents for watching Jack and our house for three days while we had our little girl. They even left behind enough food for a week! Thanks to NaNa and PaPa for the new stroller! We took Jack out for a spin to today and can't wait to throw Lucy in it as well. Much love to everyone!

OH! If only she came 8.5 hours earlier. We could share the same b-day. I've been anxiously awaiting this post! So happy for all of you and glad everything went well. Sure makes we want to do it again. Aren't c-sections the best! A good nights rest the night before, shower in the a.m., go to the hospital in no pain, minutes later.. have a baby! Miss you guys!
