Jack's Birthday Party Barrage

It's been a whirlwind three weeks for the Lambert clan.  Jack's 1st Birthday was on March 20th, so we HAD to have three separate birthday parties to celebrate Jack's entrance into the world.  He was surprisingly quiet on how many parties he was hoping to have, so Mom and company started the planning process for him.  We'll be uploading photos from the three parties and all the festivities and events surrounding the parties (which included a retirement party for Trish's Dad and a trip to Aruba for Trish and I).

We'll start with Birthday Party #1.
Date: March 15th
Location: Mercer Island, WA
Theme: St. Patrick's Day
Attire: Green
In Attendance:  The Cavanagh's from Vancouver, WA; The Cavanagh's from Queen Anne, Seattle WA; A Cavanagh from Capitol Hill, Seattle, WA; The Gurkins of Issaquah, WA and Lauren from Green Lake, WA.

Eight of Jack's ten cousins were at his party (he had only nine at the time of this party... Congrats to the Gammels on the birth of their second son Oliver!).  Here we have Lexi, Sophie and Annie.

Jack wasn't sure about how he felt about the cake frosting after licking the bottom of his birthday candle. He warmed up to the taste of sugar as you'll soon see.

What St. Patty's Day themed party would be complete without a Pinata?
I think that Jack liked his first Lego set.

The cake eating begins! A lifelong addiction to sweets will certainly follow.
Auntie Lauren and Trish discussing the Rody chair that Lauren got for Jack.
Phoebe and Jack discuss the fudge center they didn't expect from the cake, and the economy.

Special thanks to Colleen and Grandma Joan for assisting with the party planning and set-up. Much love to our West Coast family for all the great gifts and the amazing time. Jack's birthday party was great!
